San Francisco SEO is still how we pay the bills — but Claude Code is how we're building the machine that lands the clients, and this week's update pulls back the curtain on what's actually running, ranking, and shipping right now.

I'm John Williams, founder of J Williams Designs, a local SEO and web design agency in the Bay Area. Every update covers what shipped, what's working, and what still needs attention. This one has a lot in it: a fully automated lead gen engine, Bay Area ranking results across three new cities, and a side project worth knowing about.

The Claude Code Lead Gen Engine

Claude Code lead generation is an automated pipeline that scrapes a prospect's live homepage, rebuilds it through our SEO and conversion framework, and deploys a redesigned version to a Cloudflare page — straight from our private server — in under 90 seconds.

Here's what those redesigns look like: a strong hero section pulling in their real top images, a trust bar with their partners, an about section, a process and method section with a detailed animation, client results, and a hard CTA at the bottom. That is the first impression we're making on a cold prospect before we've ever spoken.

We finished our first batch of 600 redesigns over the weekend. Our SMTP mass-sending function finally fired correctly. This week is the live test — the redesign link goes straight into the outbound cold email, and the feedback loop starts now.

If you're building something in this space and you need backlinks to support it — domain authority, citation building, link acquisition — that's exactly what we do. Hit us up.

Bay Area Rankings: What Three Weeks of Targeted Content Did

Targeted local SEO content is the practice of building geo-specific service pages that explicitly signal to Google which cities and service combinations you want to rank for — and it is the single step most Bay Area agencies skip when optimizing their own sites.

J Williams Designs already had page two rankings in San Francisco. What was not happening was claiming the rest of the Bay Area. Three weeks of targeted content changed that:

  • Local SEO San Mateo — now in the top 10
  • Local SEO Walnut Creek — 10.7 average position
  • Local SEO Oakland — 11.5 average position

These are early numbers — baby steps, not a case study. But they prove the method works, and they are the foundation. As the agency scales and we have more clients, more data, and more domain leverage in the field, we will have bigger results to show. Right now this is what we are learning: targeted content plus existing authority moves rankings fast, and we are just getting started with what that can do across the full Bay Area.

aisalestraining.net — The Side Project Worth Watching

AI sales training is a structured rep system that uses conversational AI to simulate the objection-handling, pricing, and conflict scenarios that kill revenue when founders or salespeople freeze under pressure in live money conversations.

To be clear about who this is for: it is not a sales career course and it is not theory. It is built specifically for entrepreneurs, business owners, and managers — people who are already in conversations where conflict around value, budget, or pricing shows up and costs them money. If you have ever lost a deal not because of price but because of how the price conversation went, that is the exact gap this is built to close.

This was built out of a real need — language pattern gaps in my own conversations. A safe place to get in reps before the stakes are real. Without that practice, you keep misreading what is actually happening in those conversations. aisalestraining.net has a free one-day trial running now. There is also a team training mode for sales managers — it tracks objection-handling gaps and drills the exact language patterns that are missing.

What's Next

Cold outbound email is the next live test for this entire system — 600 AI-redesigned homepages hitting prospect inboxes this week to convert cold leads into discovery calls for the first time.

We updated our web design pricing last month and lost more than half the client base in the process. That is a real hit to monthly recurring revenue and we are moving through it — cold calling campaign running in parallel, cold email launching this week, Bay Area keyword rankings stacking. Everything I learn in the field, what I'm paying for, what worked and what didn't, goes into the newsletter. Link in the description.
